Thrift Finds + Cozy Home Inspo

I have officially entered my "“mid 20’s grandma era” and I couldn’t be happier. With that being said, it is only natural of me to start the hobby of antiquing/thrifting. I never would of thought I’d be a sucker for it! Although I have always loved unique pieces, there is so much more out in those stores than I would've ever thought.

The vibe I pull is not so much the “farmhouse” type, dare I say I am more the “Nancy Myers” type… It sounds cleshay now that it is popular, but I love the warm, calm, cozy tones and always have. I have recently moved into a home and it is much more open spaced than my little 650 sq. ft apartment I am coming out of. My boyfriend is very much a minimalist when it comes to the home decor choosing and I am shouting “give me all the trinkets, throw pillows, and vases of flowers!” He has definitely eased up on the no trinkets “rule” because every time he blinks, he notices one more I snuck in the house and he turns out saying the words all women love…. “I actually like it very much and you are good at decorating.” BIG WIN FOR ME!

My boyfriend hasn’t had his home built for long, so there is not much in there already. It is very fun picking rugs, lamps, and comforters with him. Very adultish of us. He has always supported me and my hobbies/crazy dreams I have planned. Along with my love for thrifting/antiquing, I also am hooked on the Food Network, reading Ina Garten’s Memoir , preparing my first garden, candle making and air dry pottery. Remember I told you I am a grandma so it is ok if you are thinking it about me!

This was some of my favorite antique finds from this past weekend.

1) White Giant Vase

  • This was a semi big find for me. We recently got a pretty long entry way table to go by the front door. This wall was pretty long, so we had to get something that filled the space. We got this table at a large flea market that comes near Atlanta. Custom made and very unique. I am one to style things in the home with a “cozy feel”. I don’t like a lot of space

I wanted to make this blog post as a somewhat vision board for myself and hopefully someone else who falls in the Martha Stewart/French cottage personality.
